Arsenal midfielder makes the switch to Serie A
Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has made the move to Fiorentina on loan with the option to buy next summer.
The Uruguayan was deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta, and he has now made the return to the Serie A.
Fiorentina have paid around €1.5m as the loan fee. They can sign him permanently next summer for €15m.
The Gunners are focused on outgoings before the transfer deadline, and there could be plenty of transfer activity.
Willian has been fancied to join Corinthians for free while Eddie Nketiah is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace.
Hector Bellerin, Sead Kolasinac, Reiss Nelson and Alexandre Lacazette could also be heading for the exit door this month.
The Gunners are not planning any new signings at the moment. Any inward activity may depend on the funds recouped.
It has been reported that Arteta would like a new right-back and striker before the transfer window closes next week.
