Jose Mourinho eyeing deal for Chelsea midfielder
AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in landing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The Giallorossi recently signed Blues striker Tammy Abraham under the recommendation of the Portuguese.
Abraham made a huge impression on debut with a brace, and he could now be reunited with compatriot Loftus-Cheek.
The 25-year-old is out-of-favour with the Blues at the moment, and he has been fancied to leave on loan this month.
Roma have been interested in Denis Zakaria from Borussia Monchengladbach, but a deal seems highly unlikely.
They are willing to pay around €10-15m, but the German outfit won't accept anything less than €20m for his services.
Hence, Loftus-Cheek has now emerged on the radar. A deal could be straightforward with Mourinho's close links with Chelsea.
The former Blues boss continues to share a good bond with the hierarchy.
Meanwhile, Mourinho handed Loftus-Cheek his Blues debut in 2014. The midfielder could be tempted by the prospect of a reunion.
