Manchester United winger secures permanent exit
Daniel James has made the switch from Manchester United to Leeds United for a reported fee of around £25m.
The Welshman has been a long-term target for the Whites, and they have finally landed his services.
He has put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal with the club.
James started two of the opening three league games for United, but there was always speculation over his future.
With Cristiano Ronaldo's surprise comeback, it became clear that his playing time could be limited for the campaign.
Leeds moved to finalise a quick deal for him. Everton and Crystal Palace were also in the running to secure his services.
James was on the verge of joining Leeds from Swansea City in January 2019 before the Welsh outfit pulled the plug on the deal.
He was about to be presented in the club's shirt when the U-turn happened. Later that summer, he made the move to Old Trafford.
Leeds have finally got their hands on James, who has been a priority target for Marcelo Bielsa for a long period of time.
