Dalot to Roma?

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on reuniting with Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot.

The Giallorossi currently have Rick Karsdorp and Bryan Reynolds as the right-back options, but Mourinho is unconvinced by the latter.

Hence, he is eyeing a new signing in the New Year, and Calciomercato claims that Dalot is one of the prime targets for him.

Mourinho was responsible for bringing the Portuguese to United in 2018, but the defender has since struggled to prove himself.

He spent last season on loan at Milan. He was linked with a loan move to Borussia Dortmund this summer, but United blocked his exit.

The Red Devils tried to sign Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid such that they could offload Dalot, but that did not happen.

Dalot has played just 55 minutes this term. He is concerned that he could miss out on the Portugal squad for the 2022 World Cup.

He is currently behind Joao Cancelo and Nelson Semedo in the pecking order, and may need to leave United to boost his chances.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been United's undisputed right-back in the Premier League when he has been fit and available for selection.
