Liverpool to step up interest in Wolves star?
Liverpool are reportedly preparing to step up their interest in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore.
The Spaniard was linked with a possible exit this summer. Tottenham Hotspur were keen on signing him, but could not negotiate a suitable deal.
They were prepared to offer around £30 million for his services, but Wolves were reluctant to sell him for anything less than £50m.
It is now reported that the Reds have joined the player's pursuit amid the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Both players are yet to commit their futures to the Merseyside outfit. With their high wage demands, one of them could head for the exit door.
According to El Nacional, Traore would welcome a move to Anfield where Jurgen Klopp is anticipating his arrival with 'open arms'.
Traore has not scored or assisted a goal this term, but he has been hugely impressive with his tireless attacking performances.
His finishing has been a let down over the years, but he continues to garner transfer interest from some of Europe's elite clubs.
Traore's current deal with Wolves expires in June 2023. He is expected to leave the club by next summer, having rejected a renewal.
