Chelsea boss keen on signing Wolves midfielder?
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly urged the club's hierarchy to sign Ruben Neves during the January transfer window.
The Blues currently have N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Saul Niguez as the specialist midfielders.
Despite multiple choices, Tuchel has struggled to find a settled combination during the current campaign due to injury concerns.
According to Todofichajes, the German is looking forward to signing another midfielder when the transfer window reopens.
He has recommended Neves to the board. Wolverhampton Wanderers are reluctant to lose him, but could sell for the right price.
Neves was heavily linked with Arsenal and Manchester United over the summer, but nothing materialised beyond the gossip.
They currently value him at around €45 million. The Blues will need to pay the fee in full to land his services next month.
Chelsea have recently played out back-to-back Premier League draws. They are now six points behind leaders Manchester City.
The Blues are scheduled to face close neighbours Brentford in the Carabao Cup quarter final tie on Wednesday night.
