West Ham enter race for Tottenham playmaker

West Ham United are expected to offer strong competition to Newcastle United in the race to sign Dele Alli next month.
Alli has struggled for regular game time since Antonio Conte took charge as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
He has made just one league start under the Italian, and Eurosport claims that Spurs are open to offloading him in January.
Newcastle United are interested in landing his services, but the Hammers are also likely to make an offer of their own.
Spurs are yet to receive any official bids, but chairman Daniel Levy would personally prefer to sell him abroad.
Alli has been linked with a possible move to Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen could be a potential destination for him.
Spurs are open to sanctioning an initial loan for the attacker, provided they can negotiate a buy clause based on appearances.
Aside from Alli, there is speculation that Joe Rodon could be loaned out. The Magpies are deemed favourites to land him.
