Manchester United set £15m price tag for defender
Manchester United have reportedly set a price tag of £15 million for out-of-favour defender Phil Jones.
The centre-back recently started against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but it was his first appearance in over 700 days.
Ralf Rangnick was full of praise for him after the game, but he could still leave the club in the coming weeks.
According to Daily Star, the Red Devils are willing to part ways with Jones if they receive a fee of around £15m.
Burnley are interested in acquiring his services, but they are reluctant to meet his current £100,000-a-week wages.
West Ham United and Newcastle United have also been linked with him in the past, but they are no longer keen.
The Hammers are satisfied with their current options. Kurt Zouma should return from a hamstring injury soon.
Meanwhile, the Magpies are plotting a move for Sevilla's Diego Carlos, who has already agreed personal terms.
The 28-year-old has received a 'life-changing' contract, and he is desperate to join the Magpies before the deadline.
