Barcelona open to selling Chelsea defensive target
Barcelona are open to parting ways with Chelsea target Sergino Dest during the ongoing transfer window.
The Catalan giants recently re-signed Dani Alves on a free transfer. The right-back made an instant debut in the El Clasico.
It is now reported by ESPN that Xavi does not fancy Dest, and he is willing to offload him before the transfer window closes.
The Blaugrana currently have sufficient depth in the right-back spot with the presence of Sergi Roberto and Oscar Mingueza.
Chelsea are keen on pursuing a new right wing-back option this month following the long-term injury for Reece James.
Dest is one of the players under consideration, and they could lure him on a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer.
Thomas Tuchel has publicly acknowledged that the club are looking for options with the lack of depth in the department.
Cesar Azpilicueta is the only specialist for the role. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic have been the makeshift choices.
