Arsenal planning six summer signings?
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could be backed with a significant transfer budget during the next transfer window.
The Gunners spent nearly £150m on six players last summer. It has paid dividends with the club vying for a top-four finish.
Regardless of their final position, the hierarchy are prepared to back Arteta with another spending spree at the end of the season.
According to Standard Sport, the Gunners could pursue two new strikers with the likely departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
Meanwhile, the club are also eyeing a new winger, central midfielder, left-sided centre-back and a right-back ahead of next season.
Out of those positions, the least priority is a new right-back. It may depend on the fitness of Takehiro Tomiyasu over the coming months.
The Japan international has been struggling with a calf problem since the beginning of the year. This could be a cause for concern.
Cedric Soares has done a credible job as the deputy in recent weeks, but the Portuguese has the tendency to make unforced errors.
