Predicted Man Utd line-up vs Atletico tonight

Manchester United host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League tonight. The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the round of 16 tie, but should be favourites at Old Trafford.

Predicted Line-up:

David de Gea has played every Premier League and Champions League game for the Red Devils this term, barring one. The Spaniard has been outstanding in goal with world-class saves, and is expected to start.

Diogo Dalot has been the better performing right-back this year, and should get the nod over Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Alex Telles is set to start on the opposite end with Luke Shaw not deemed fully fit after coronavirus.

At the heart of the defence, we fancy Victor Lindelof to partner Raphael Varane. Harry Maguire had another poor outing against Spurs, and nearly cost United the victory with an own goal in the second half.

In midfield, Scott McTominay looks set to partner Fred. McTominay missed the Spurs game with a calf problem. Nemanja Matic impressed in his absence with a big chance created, but the Scot is ahead of him in the pecking order.

A solitary change should happen in the attack with Bruno Fernandes replacing Marcus Rashford. Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho are likely to operate outwide with Fernandes in his customary number 10 spot.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the line. The Portuguese has been much criticised for his form this year, but answered his critics with a stunning hat-trick against Spurs over the weekend.

Predicted Manchester United line-up (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Telles; McTominay, Fred; Sancho, Fernandes, Pogba; Ronaldo.
