Chelsea defender pushing for La Liga transfer
Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is pushing for a return to the Spanish La Liga this summer, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The Spaniard has been with the Blues for six seasons, and he still has 13 months remaining on his current deal.
He has been a key player under manager Thomas Tuchel, but appears keen on returning to his homeland next term.
Talks are already ongoing with his agents, and reports claim that Barcelona will be the favourites to land his services.
The Catalan giants have already signed Andreas Christensen from the Blues.
The Denmark international will join them on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of next month.
They have their sights on landing Alonso for a nominal fee, and the same goes for Blues captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
If everything goes per plan, they could complete a triple raid on the European champions over the coming weeks.
Alonso, 31, has bagged 29 goals and 23 assists from 212 games for Chelsea.
