Chelsea duo set for bumper contract deals
Chelsea duo Reece James and Mason Mount are set for bumper contract deals following their excellent progress over the past season.
The graduates have been a key part of the Blues' setup over the past three years, and last season, they were at their very best.
James excelled from the right wing-back position despite an injury, and ended the campaign with a stunning 16 goal contributions.
Meanwhile, Mount was the club's highest goalscorer for the campaign with 13, and also chipped in with an impressive 16 assists.
According to Standard Sport, the duo are now expected to be rewarded with new bumper contracts for their tremendous progress.
Chelsea are currently in a period of transition with key defenders leaving the club. It could be a new look back three next season.
Kalidou Koulibaly has joined from Napoli while talks are underway to sign Presnel Kimpembe and Jules Kounde from PSG and Sevilla.
The Blues have already bolstered their attack with Raheem Sterling.
