Timo Werner wants to leave Chelsea this summer
Chelsea forward Timo Werner wants to leave the club this summer amid the lack of assurances of regular game time.
The Germany international has been with the west London giants for two seasons, but has yet to live up to his expectations.
He has made nearly 45 goal contributions, but his overall performances were far from impressive during the recent campaign.
According to Sky Sport Germany, Werner could push for an exit in the near future as he does not have playing time guarantees.
Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are normally regular starters under Thomas Tuchel, and Raheem Sterling has now joined the club.
The England international is expected to take up the third position in attack, meaning that Werner could be a regular bench warmer.
Werner is reluctant to accept such a role, and it is claimed that he would prefer a return to the German top-flight in the coming weeks.
The 26-year-old wants to play a big part in Germany's World Cup campaign, but for this, he needs to be fit and firing next season.
