Thilo Kehrer to move to West Ham from PSG?
West Ham have identified their primary target to replace the outbound Issa Diop, with Paris St Germain defender Thilo Kehrer the name mentioned as the Irons' new defensive partner to link up with Kurt Zouma in the Hammers' central defence. Kehrer has been told that he is free to leave PSG for a fee of around £16.5 million.
The 25-year-old Germany international has played 85 times for the Ligue 1 side, since making a move from Schalke 04, and is desperate to appear on a regular basis having slipped down the pecking order in France.
Last season Kehrer took part in 27 Ligue 1 games with a return of 2 goals, and West Ham are confident that an agreement can be reached before the transfer window slams shut this month.
If a deal fails to be pulled off, West Ham could opt to make a move for Man Utd's wantaway centre-back Eric Bailly, who has been told that he has no future at Old Trafford and is free to leave the club.
Kehrer will be given a week to decide if a move to East London is his preferred next transfer.
