Manchester United have their sights on landing three more players before the transfer window concludes on September 1.

The Red Devils have been active this summer with the purchases of Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez.

However, they need more reinforcements to compete for the top four, and The Telegraph report that there could be three more signings.

A couple of midfielders are top priority for United. They are currently close to landing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus for around £15m.

The club are also interested in signing Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona. In case he rejects a move, Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is an option.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also eyeing a new forward. PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo and Stuttgart's Sasa Kalajdzic are under consideration.

The Telegraph report that United could lean towards signing £20m-rated Kalajdzic over Gakpo (valued at £34m) if De Jong were to join them.

It appears the hierarchy have a maximum budget of around £100m for three players. De Jong would cost at least £63m up front from Barcelona.
