Chelsea planning shock move for Harry Maguire?
Chelsea are reportedly planning a shock swap deal to sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
The Blues have already bolstered their defence with Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella this summer, but are eyeing more additions.
A deal for Leicester City's Wesley Fofana is close to completion, and The Mail claim that the Blues have also made a shock enquiry for Maguire.
Maguire has been a consistent starter for the Red Devils, but could be dropped to the bench for Monday's Premier League clash against Liverpool.
With the World Cup around the corner, it is reported that the 29-year-old could be tempted to move on to strengthen his England selection prospects.
The Blues have reportedly proposed to swap Maguire for Christian Pulisic, and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils accept the proposal.
United have recently agreed to loan out Eric Bailly to Marseille while they are also in the process of offloading Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe.
This leaves them with just three senior central defenders in Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof aside from Maguire.
Hence, we don't see them parting ways with the former Leicester City man unless the hierarchy manage to bring in a quality replacement.
