Chelsea are planning to hold a fresh round of negotiations with Barcelona for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon star has been identified as a priority target for manager Thomas Tuchel, but the Blues don't want to overpay for him.

They recently proposed £15 million plus Marcos Alonso for the 33-year-old, but Barcelona prefer a fixed fee of around £20m.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have not changed their proposal, but will instead try to convince Barcelona in a fresh meeting.

In case there is no breakthrough in discussions, Chelsea could turn their attention towards Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha has entered the final year of his Palace deal, and could be sold if an irresistible offer is made before the transfer deadline.

A package of around £35-40m could be tempting for the Eagles, who would not want to lose their prized asset for nothing next year.

Zaha is said to be determined to play Champions League football, and Chelsea can provide the perfect platform for him to excel.
