Liverpool planning fresh move for Ivory Coast star
Liverpool will make a fresh approach for PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare in January, according to Calciomercato.
The Reds were keen on signing the Ivory Coast international on transfer deadline day, but the Dutch transfer window had closed on August 31.
PSV refused to sell him without a replacement. Jurgen Klopp's side are now prepared to make a fresh transfer proposal at the turn of the year.
Sangare's £31.5m release clause was removed with a new contract this summer, but PSV are still willing to sell him for around £43m.
Liverpool are currently loaded with midfield options, but they need to look into the future with a number of key players in their 30s.
Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner could also leave on free transfers when their contracts expires next summer.
The Reds signed Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus on deadline day, but it seems unlikely that they will trigger the buy option agreed.
Meanwhile, Sangare has also been on the radar of Chelsea.
