Man Utd willing to enter race for Atletico Madrid star

Manchester United are prepared to enter the race to sign wantaway Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix in January, AS report.

The Portuguese was a top target for the Red Devils during the summer transfer window, and they failed with a €130m bid for him.

Atletico refused to sell Felix as he was an important player, but the scenario has completely changed over the past couple of months.

Felix is now the fifth-choice striker under Diego Simeone behind Alvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann, Matheus Cunha and Angel Correa.

He is said to be very unhappy over the situation and has instructed his agent Jorge Mendes to look for a new club at the turn of the year.

United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs and it is claimed that the former could make another transfer approach.

It remains to be seen whether they are willing to make a similar bid as last summer, considering Felix has barely played for Atletico lately.
