Man City tracking world class youngster Archie Gray
Manchester City are contemplating a £25 million transfer deal for Leeds United's world class youngster Archie Gray, a 17-year-old midfielder who has been on the books at Elland Road since 2014. Gray has already appeared for the England under-16 and under-17 sides, and is already seen as an eventual likely full England international by many pundits.
Under former manager Marcelo Bielsa, Gray was already given an opportunity to take part in the Premier League as he sat on the bench in December 2021 against Arsenal. That game and an appearance would've made him the youngest ever player to appear for Leeds.
Pep Guardiola is keen to bring in new faces ahead of the new season, with a keen eye on English youth talent. City missed out on a deal for Declan Rice this summer and have already allowed several first-team regulars to leave the Etihad.
So highly rated is Gray, that City are already willing to pay £25 million for a 17-year-old who has yet to make his Premier League debut. His name is surely one to keep an eye out for.
