Bournemouth weigh up move for Dutchman Kenneth Taylor
Bournemouth are contemplating a transfer move for defensive midfielder Kenneth Taylor, who currently plays for Dutch giants Ajax. The 21-year-old forced his way into the club's starting XI on a regular basis last season, appearing 32 times in the Eredivisie, scoring eight goals. An impressive return for a holding midfielder.
Having represented the Netherlands' youth international side from under-15 all the way through to the under-21's; Taylor received his first call up to the national side in 2022 and has now earned four caps for his country.
This form for club and country has persuaded Bournemouth to make an offer, and an initial bid of £25 million has been received by the Dutch club, who have yet to make a decision on a potential exit for the player.
The midfield maestro is very highly rated in Holland, and it would come as no surprise if the Cherries will find competition in their pursuit of the midfielder.
The player's preferred position is in central midfield, but it is understood that Bournemouth want to sign Taylor as a replacement for holding midfielder Jefferson Lerma, who departed for Premier League rivals Crystal Palace earlier in the transfer window.
