Fulham's scouting network have identified right winger Jan Thielmann as a potential summer acquisition, with the FC Koln starlet rumoured to be up for sale if a bid of £20 million is received. The 20-year-old played 23 Bundesliga games last season, with a return of two goals, and has already played 88 times in the German top flight for his club.

Since making his debut in 2019-20, Thielmann has continued to catch the eye and most recently turned down a transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, opting to stay in Cologne for the time being.

However, an offer from Fulham could be very lucrative for a player who has just two years remaining on his deal with the German side. It is understood Koln would like to generate funds to sign new players during this transfer window, and Thielmann could be allowed to depart to accomodate fresh faces.

Jan Thielmann emerged through the Eintracht Trier youth setup before a transfer to Koln followed at 15 years of age, and his impressive form have provided him opportunities to represent multiple German youth sides. Most recently, Thielmann played for the Germany under-21 team, currently has 7 caps, and also a goal to his name.

Fulham are hopeful that an agreement can be reached before the end of the transfer window.
