Arsenal winger set to miss Porto game with injury
Arsenal look set to be without Gabriel Martinelli for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Porto tomorrow.
The Brazil international suffered a nasty cut on his left foot against Sheffield United. He subsequently missed the game against Brentford.
Martinelli was absent from the training session this morning and Arteta has acknowledged that the winger faces a late fitness test.
Elsewhere, Takehiro Tomiyasu has returned to team training after a minor injury picked up during Asian Cup duty with Japan.
Tomiyasu looks set to make the matchday squad tomorrow, but it would be a huge surprise if Martinelli were to make the game.
Leandro Trossard started on the left wing against the Bees last weekend. The Belgian was largely ineffective from his role.
We could see Gabriel Jesus get the nod in the position and he could interchange with Kai Havertz during the game.
The Brazilian has been stellar in the Champions League this term with four goals and two assists from five group matches.
