Arsenal make fresh bid to sign Premier League ace

Arsenal have made a fresh bid to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Dan Bentley, according to The Sun.

The Gunners currently have David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale on vacation following their Euro 2024 duty.

Karl Hein has travelled with the team for the pre-season tour of the United States alongside academy signings Lucas Nygaard and Tommy Setford.

Manager Mikel Arteta wants more experience between the sticks and The Sun claim that Arsenal are pushing to secure an agreement for Bentley.

They have made an improved £300,000 bid for the 31-year-old. It remains below Wolves' £1m price tag, but a compromise will be reached soon.

Bentley started off his youth career with the Gunners before moving to Southend United. He is reportedly keen on a reunion with the club.

Wolves are likely to sanction his sale in the coming days. Bentley could have his medical in the US before linking with the club for pre-season.

The club are also on the cusp of landing Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori. He could likewise have his medical in North America.
