Mikel Arteta confirms triple Arsenal injury boost for Saturday

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a triple injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners registered a third straight win in midweek with a 2-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were the goalscorers.
They will be aiming to continue the streak against the Saints on Saturday and ahead of the game, Arteta has confirmed that Jurrien Timber, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu could make the squad.
Timber picked up a minor muscular issue against PSG and he was substituted at half-time. Meanwhile, White and Tomiyasu have been on the sidelines with thigh and knee injuries lately.
Arteta has revealed that the trio will be monitored over the next 24 hours and they are in contention to make the squad against the Saints.
Arsenal can climb to the top of the league standings with a huge win if Liverpool were to drop points against Crystal Palace on the road.
