Scotland international Ben Doak will be allowed to speak to Nottingham Forest and West Ham this week, after both clubs had a bid of £17 million accepted for the ring winger. The 19-year-old Scotsman played for Middlesbrough on loan last campaign, and caught the eye with three league goals. He has returned to Anfield, but manager Arne Slot has told Doak that he is free to depart.

Liverpool are closing in on a transfer for Newcastle forward Alexander Isak, and know that they must sell if they are to pay the reported £120 million pricetag for the Swedish international striker.

Doak moved to Liverpool in 2022 for just £600,000, and therefore a transfer will represent a massive profit for the Anfield side. Doak has appeared six times for Scotland's national side, and is considered one of his country's best young players.

West Ham are seeking a replacement for Mohammed Kudus, who left to Tottenham earlier in the summer transfer window, whilst Nottingham Forest have been linked with several new faces and have money to spend having sold Anthony Elanga to Newcastle.
