Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Atletico Madrid, Martinelli starts
Arsenal will be eyeing a sixth consecutive win when they host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League tonight.
Ahead of the game, manager Mikel Arteta could make two changes to the starting XI from the 1-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Line-up:
David Raya is a guaranteed starter in goal for the Gunners. He will be aiming for his third clean sheet of the European campaign.
In front of him, there could be a solitary change in defence. We anticipate Myles Lewis-Skelly to get the nod over Riccardo Calafiori at left-back.
Calafiori has had short-term injuries in the past and he could be given a break, having had a heavy workload for club and country of late.
Jurrien Timber, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes should form the rest of the backline.
In midfield, no changes are expected. Martin Zubimendi should start as the number six with Declan Rice and Eberechi Eze operating ahead of the Spanish ace.
Bukayo Saka is a nailed-on starter on the right wing with the captain's armband. He was terrific against Fulham where he won 14 duels and made nine recoveries.
Viktor Gyokeres has been misfiring upfront for the past month, but still has the manager's backing. The Swede is expected to lead the attack again.
On the left wing, Arteta could go with the pace of Gabriel Martinelli over Leandro Trossard. The Brazilian has scored in both European outings this term.
Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Atletico: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Zubimendi, Eze, Rice; Saka, Gyokeres, Martinelli.
