Galatasaray and Wolfsburg battle for Lukas Podolski signature
Arsenal have apparently agreed a fee with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and Turkish giants Galatasaray for player Lukas Podolski. The German attacker is free to leave the Emirates Stadium with Arsene Wenger instead favouring youngster Joel Campbell and new signing Alexis Sanchez for the coming campaign.
Podolski, a fan favourite at Arsenal, will end his spell with the Gunners and transfer elsewhere in search of regular first team football. Galatasaray manager Cesare Prandelli is looking to bring in a new striker this week whilst German side Wolfsburg are also known to be looking for a new forward after missing out on Romelu Lukaku.
The Gunners have reportedly agreed fees with both teams for Podolski, in a transfer deal worth approximately 12 million euros for the World Cup winner.
The 29-year-old has played 53 games for Arsenal, scoring 19 goals. The forward was left out of Arsenal's traveling squad for the 2-2 draw against Everton yesterday.
