Loic Remy completes Chelsea transfer
French striker Loic Remy will complete a transfer to Chelsea after successfully passing a medical at the Blues' training ground this afternoon. The QPR forward will join Jose Mourinho's side for a fee of 8.75 million pounds.
Remy had almost completed a transfer to Liverpool earlier in the summer but failed a medical. This time around though, Remy will make a move and sign a four year contract at Stamford Bridge, replacing Fernando Torres.
Yesterday Torres wrapped up a deal to move on loan to the San Siro and thus Mourinho had been busy looking to find a replacement for the Spaniard. Remy, who enjoyed a successful campaign at Newcastle United on loan last season, has been in and out of the QPR team so far this season but the arrival of Eduardo Vargas means that Remy is surplus to requirements.
