Chelsea have the opportunity to maintain the fourth position in the standings when they face league leaders Manchester City on the road on Sunday evening.

  • Chelsea eyeing part-exchange deal to sign Osimhen
  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • The Blues recently returned to winning ways in overwhelming fashion after a comfortable 5-0 triumph over Huddersfield Town but they have a stiff challenge on their hands to restrict the threat from the table-toppers.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been the undisputed choice in goal for Maurizio Sarri and no changes are expected for the weekend barring a surprise injury setback.

In the defence, Sarri should stick with the same combination from the Terriers triumph and this should witness Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso in the full-back positions with Andreas Christensen and David Luiz occupying the heart of the backline.

Likewise in midfield, Jorginho and N'Golo Kante are undisputed starters and they could once more be accompanied by Ross Barkley, who was impressive with his forward play when compared to Sarri's regular Mateo Kovacic.

In the attack, Eden Hazard and Willian will no doubt feature on the left and right side of the attack respectively with Gonzalo Higuain expected to lead the line for the fourth straight game in all competitions for the Blues.
