Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-2-3-1) vs Atalanta, Salah returns

25 November 2020 - 19:22

Liverpool will be aiming to cement their spot in the round of 16 of the Champions League when they host Atalanta tonight.

  • Chelsea duo return to partial team training
  • Chelsea planning to sell Sterling to sign Crystal Palace star?

  • The Reds have secured the perfect tally of nine points from their first three group stage matches.

    Formation: 4-2-3-1

    Predicted Lineup:

Alisson Becker is the undisputed choice for the number one role and the Brazilian is expected to feature in goal against the Serie A outfit.

In the backline, Jurgen Klopp could make a solitary change as part of the rotation. Neco Williams could come in for James Milner at right-back.

Naby Keita was the latest injury casualty in the 3-0 Premier League win over Leicester City last weekend.

His absence may see Klopp revert to a two-man midfield. Curtis Jones is likely to partner Georginio Wijnaldum in the centre of the park.

Mohamed Salah is back in contention for the Reds after recently testing negative for the coronavirus.

Roberto Firmino should take up the number 10 role for tonight's game and could be flanked by Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah either side.

Diogo Jota, who has been a revelation in his debut season, should lead the line. Jota has scored eight goals in just 12 outings for the Reds.

Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-2-3-1): Alisson Becker; Neco Williams, Fabinho, Joel Matip, Andrew Robertson; Curtis Jones, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane; Diogo Jota
