Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Inter Milan, Martinelli dropped

06 November 2024 - 18:48

Arsenal will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Inter Milan on the road in the Champions League.

  • Arsenal to hijack Chelsea deal for English winger?
  • Arsenal & Chelsea battling to sign Ajax defender

  • The Gunners have been in a poor run of form in the Premier League with just one point in the last three matches.

They have, however, fared better in Europe with seven points thus far and will be eyeing another three points at San Siro.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has played every minute in the Premier League and Champions League this term. He has made plenty of stand-out saves and should keep his place between the sticks as usual.

The defence should witness one change with Ben White coming in at right-back. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are nailed-on starters in central defence while Jurrien Timber should get the nod over Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left side of the backline.

With Declan Rice out injured, Thomas Partey should come into the heart of the midfield once more. Mikel Merino is set to accompany him in the centre of the park. Kai Havertz could form a three-man midfield.

Further forward, we expect Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to be dropped on the back of underwhelming displays against Newcastle United.

We expect Gabriel Jesus to lead the attack with Raheem Sterling on the left wing. Bukayo Saka is an undisputed starter for the Gunners from the right side of the attack.

Martin Odegaard has returned to team training after a lengthy injury absence, but the Norwegian could make a cameo off the bench.

Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Partey, Merino, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Sterling.
