England Under-20s left back Ben Chilwell, has been offered a new long term deal by Premier League champions elect Leicester and they remain hopeful that they can tie him down to avoid clubs coming in for him in the summer.

The Foxes have struggled to agree a deal with 19 year old Chilwell as he knows Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all monitoring him closely and he could earn a big money move to one of the leagues more established clubs and earn more than the proposed £18,000 a week deal on the table at the King Power Stadium.

Arsenal’s England left back Kieran Gibbs could move on this summer as he looks to play more regularly and cement the England left back position and Chilwell is being considered as a potential long term successor to him by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger who is drawing up a list of summer targets.

Bedford born Chiwell is yet to feature in a Premier League game but has played for the foxes in the two FA Cup games against Spurs and a League cup tie against Hull and is a highly rated prospect, he recently trained with the senior England squad at St George’s Park.

German Christian Fuchs is very much the first choice left back under Claudio Ranieri but with a Champions League campaign next season perhaps the highly rated youngster could feature more regularly for Leicester City and Ranieri will want to add to his squad not lose players.
