West Ham table massive bid for Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott news

Walcott preparing for Hammers move?

West Ham United have tabled a £25 million transfer offer for Arsenal's out of favour forward Theo Walcott. The Hammers have promised Walcott a regular starting place as a striker next season.

Walcott, who found himself struggling for first team action at Arsenal last season, is said to be ready to quit the Emirates in search of a new challenge and with the hope that he will be able to kick start his international career. Walcott has been left out of the squad for Euro 2016 by England coach Roy Hodgson.

With Leicester City also known to be interested in the former Southampton man, West Ham are ready to move very quickly to secure the speedy striker.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will sit down with Theo Walcott in the coming weeks to discuss Walcott's long term future. The player's agent is known to be in discussions with his client regarding a possible transfer request.
