Arsenal have no agreement in place for Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal have yet to agree terms with Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi. The Gunners were previously deemed to have finalized a contract with the German international .
Reports earlier suggested that the 24-year-old had settled a deal with the North London outfit, and it was left for the clubs to negotiate a sum for his move.
However, according to Press Association Sport, the story has no truth to it, and the Gunners are nowhere close to signing the World Cup winner.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger's side are being linked with a surprise swoop for West Bromwich Albion's Jonny Evans as they bid to resolve their backline crisis.
The Gunners are currently short in the central defensive department with Gabriel and Per Mertesacker sidelined with long-term injuries whilst Laurent Koscielny is unlikely to be fit for the Premier League opener against Liverpool.
