James McCarthy up for sale
Everton boss Ronald Koeman has decided to cash in on James McCarthy when the transfer window reopens in the New Year. The 25-year-old has been overlooked since his injury at the start of the campaign.
According to The Sun, the Republic of Ireland is free to leave Goodison Park in January, if any club matches the Toffees' £15m valuation for his services.
McCarthy has struggled to firm a Premier League spot this month with Koeman favouring the likes of Gareth Barry and Idrissa Gueye in the centre of the park.
Koeman is also said to have started the search for a replacement with Sevilla's Steven N'Zonzi being high on his radar.
McCarthy was the subject of interest from the likes of Celtic and Crystal Palace over the summer, and he will have his suitors in the winter transfer window.
The midfielder has racked over 100 appearances for Everton since arriving from Wigan Athletic three years ago.
