Tottenham Hotspur will continue committing their first-team players to long-term contracts with Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld being the next in line.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has placed emphasis on keeping hold of his key players with the likes of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose having penned fresh deals last month.

According to The Mirror, Spurs will offer contract extensions to Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld this month as they bid to build on their performances of last season.

Lloris has previously snubbed negotiations over a fresh contract, but the North London outfit are pretty confident of his prolonging his stay beyond the summer of 2019.

On the other hand, Alderweireld is on the wait for an improved deal at White Hart Lane having impressed in his debut campaign last term.

Apart from the duo, Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane are also in line to be rewarded with the latter being the subject of interest from AC Milan.
