West Ham United will reportedly seek to lure Pablo Zabaleta to the London Stadium once his Manchester City contract expires in the summer.

The Argentine has been a long-term servant for the Citizens, but it is understood that the club could release him on a free at the end of the season.

According to The Mail, the Hammers are keeping a close eye on Zabaleta's situation with manager Slaven Bilic keen to add an experienced right-back to his ranks.

Both Sam Byram and Alvaro Arbeloa have failed to earn the role on the right side of defence, and this has urged Bilic to utilise Cheikhou Kouyate as the makeshift player in the position.

Zabaleta is also on the radar of a host of Serie A clubs but the Hammers are hopeful of convincing him to stay in England next season.

Fellow teammate Bacary Sagna is also an option for the east London side with his contract as well due to expire in the summer.

The Argentine international has appeared in a total of 327 games for Manchester City since arriving from Espanyol in 2008.
