Bournemouth to rival West Ham for Arsenal outcast?
Bournemouth are reportedly open to the prospect of a permanent move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere after having impressed during the ongoing campaign.
The England international will have just a year left on his Gunners deal once he returns from his temporary stint at Dean Court in the summer.
According to The Express, Cherries boss Eddie Howe will seek to tie the Englishman to a permanent contract this summer despite the player having failed to cement a regular role over the past month.
Wilshere had been a regular starter for the Cherries for most of the campaign before the manager opted to bench him in favour of a two-striker partnership.
West Ham United are reported to be willing to pay a club-record £30m for Wilshere in the summer, but it is yet to be known whether the Cherries could come close to the player's valuation.
Bournemouth were previously prepared to cough up an £18m fee to re-sign Nathan Ake from Chelsea in January, and this shows their potential to spend reasonably ahead of this summer's transfer window.
