Everton and West Ham want £20 million Iheanacho

Iheanacho has struggled to break into Pep Guardiola's team this season

Kelechi Iheanacho emerged as a star of the future at Manchester City under Manuel Pellegrini. Since the arrival of Pep Guardiola however, the Nigerian has slipped down the pecking order, particularly since the arrival of fellow youngster Gabriel Jesus. Now, two other Premier League teams are looking to sign him.

Guardiola's first season in Manchester has not quite gone to plan. Trophyless, and battling it out for a top four finish as opposed to a title challenge, big changes are expected at The Etihad this summer. Twenty year old Kelechi Iheanacho is one of the players expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

The original interest in Iheanacho's services was from abroad, but now West Ham United and Everton are interested in him too, as reported by The Sun. West Ham have struggled to find a consistent goalscorer this season, and a new striker appears to be at the top of their shopping list. The London club have also been linked with Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, who looks certain to leave Anfield in the next transfer window

Everton have not had the same issue, holding the league's top scorer in Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker still appears determined to leave Merseyside this summer however, which would leave a big gap in the Everton attack.

Iheanacho is contracted until 2021 at Manchester City, so it is expected that a fee of £20 million will be needed to sign him. At just twenty years old, the Nigerian attacker has a long career ahead of him, and what we have seen of him so far suggests that there will be a big return on that £20 million investment.
