Bayern Munich emerge as favourites to land Lukaku

Chelsea and Manchester United were front runners for the Belgian international after he turned down a contract extension at Everton, however, Bayern Munich have now emerged as favourites to land the striker.
Romelu Lukaku has been a subject of interest from clubs around Europe ever since his public decision to reject a contract extension and leave Everton.
Antonio Conte was believed to have prioritized the signing of Lukaku to replace Diego Costa. However, their interest in the Belgian cooled after Costa's move to Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian and former team Atletico Madrid failed to materialize.
Jose Mourinho then registered his interest in the player following the uncertainty of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future after the Swede suffered a serious knee injury.
Bayern Munich are now the latest team to express their desire to sign Lukaku and will be favorites to do so, according to the Telegraph.
Bayern Munich are suddenly in need of a striker after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that Alexis Sanchez would be staying at the North London club next season. Thomas Muller has fallen down the pecking order at Bayern after an underwhelming season and might leave their search for first-team football.
Everton's valuation of the Belgian has not changed and Bayern will likely have to fork out £100 million for the 24-year-old.
