Chelsea plan second bid for Leicester City ace

Premier League holders Chelsea will revive their interest in Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater in the next few days.

The Blues have already failed with a £15m approach for the England international, and they are prepared to lodge a fresh £25m attempt to test the Foxes' resolve, The Telegraph claims.

Leicester City have been demanding at least £50m to offload Riyad Mahrez in the transfer window, and it is suggested that the Blues may have to increase their bid to at least £40m to sign the 27-year-old.

Chelsea suffered a shocking 3-2 defeat at the hands of Burnley in their Premier League opener after both Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas got sent off during the game.
