Drinkwater closing in on Chelsea move

Danny Drinkwater is on his way to West London this morning for a medical to finalise a transfer deal to Chelsea from Leicester City. The England international will move to Stamford Bridge on a four-year contract.
The midfielder, who has been locked in talks with the Foxes all summer regarding his impending departure, will make a transfer to Chelsea for £27.5 million and the Foxes stand to earn a further £5 million over three years depending on the success of Chelsea Football Club.
Chelsea have turned their attentions to signing Drinkwater after seeing a move for Arsenal's departing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fall through. According to reports, Drinkwater will double his salary at the Blues.
Antonio Conte, the Chelsea manager, has hinted that his club will be busy on transfer deadline day and are also expected to wrap up deals for Fernando Llorente from Swansea City as well as a potential move for Ross Barkley from Everton. Diego Costa is expected to make a loan switch out of Chelsea.
