Predicted Chelsea XI vs Spurs

Chelsea will seek to enhance their chances of finishing in the top-four when they entertain city rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

The Blues currently trail their cross-town counterparts by five points in the pursuit of the fourth position, and three points appear a must this weekend to stay aloft in the Champions League race.

Formation: 3-4-3

Lineup:

Thibaut Courtois has been the undisputed goalkeeper to lead the line for the Blues, and the Belgium is likely to be deemed fit to start on Sunday after recovering from a hamstring problem.

In defence, it may be more of the same with Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger slotting into a three-man backline whilst Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso are strong candidates to retain their respective positions at right wing-back and left wing-back respectively.

N'Golo Kante is certain to start in one of the midfield position as he has for most of the season, and he may be accompanied by Tiemoue Bakayoko for only the second time since February. Bakayoko played only 45 minutes of the FA Cup win over Leicester, but he is likely to feature against Spurs owing to the physical aspect of his game.

In the frontline, Willian and Eden Hazard are pretty much the leading contenders for the wider positions after impressing for the club in 2018. The duo are likely to be positioned on the right and left wing respectively with Alvaro Morata slotting into the centre-forward position.
