Predicted Liverpool XI vs AS Roma

Liverpool make the trip to the Stadio Olimpico for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against AS Roma. The Reds clinched a comfortable 5-2 victory from the first leg at Anfield and they are nearly assured of their place in the final, barring a shocking performance in Rome.

Formation: 4-3-3

Lineup:

Loris Karius has been the preferred pick between the sticks for Liverpool of late and the German should start in goal for the Rome trip. In defence, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson should reclaim their places on the right and left side of the backline with Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren starting in the central defensive positions.

In midfield, Liverpool are literally down to bare bones with Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Emre Can in the treatment room and this should witness Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and James Milner making up the three-man combination.

Upfront, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are certainties to start in the right wing and centre-forward positions respectively whilst Sadio Mane should slot into the left side of the attack after recovering from a minor injury which sidelined him last weekend.
