Arsenal express interest in £22m-rated French defender
Arsenal have joined the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa.
The France international has shared the first-team duties alongside Yuri Berchiche over the course of the season but he is now deemed surplus to requirements.
According to RMC Sport, the Gunners have made contact with the player's representative after finding out that Paris Saint-Germain would sanction his summer sale.
It is added that Les Parisiens are prepared to offload his services for a bargain price of around £22m and this is within the budget of the north London side.
Arsenal currently have Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac, Ainsley Maitland-Niles who can slot into the left-back spot but the former's future remains doubtful beyond the expiry of his contract.
Monreal's deal is due to conclude in June 2019 and Kurzawa could be seen as a potential long-term replacement for the Spaniard, considering Kolasinac has failed to impress.
Meanwhile, the club see Maitland-Niles as more of a central midfielder and he has most recently impressed in the position against Manchester United this month.
