Leicester City considering Brendan Rodgers approach
Leicester City are reportedly considering the dismissal of manager Claude Puel with Celtic's Brendan Rodgers identified as a probable replacement.
The east Midlands side had a disappointing end to the previous campaign with just three wins in the final 12 games and there has since been talk of player unrest under the Frenchman.
Despite this, the Foxes' hierarchy have stood by the former Southampton boss but The Sun suggests that there could still be a twist in the coming days.
As per the publication, Rodgers has been identified as a possible contender to replace Puel after guiding Celtic to back-to-back trebles but it is yet to be seen whether the 45-year-old would prefer the move.
Earlier last month, Rodgers was strongly linked with the Arsenal job but the Northern Irishman stressed that he has no plans of leaving the Hoops in the near future.
Celtic have managed to progress to the Champions League group stage in the previous two seasons and Rodgers is seeking to replicate the same next term where they start their campaign from the first qualifying round.
