Rose heading for permanent Spurs exit

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to sanction the sale of left-back Danny Rose to an overseas club before the end of the month.

The 28-year-old was not involved during Spurs' win over Newcastle United in the Premier League opener and questions have since been raised regarding his future.

According to The Mirror, the England international could be heading for an exit from Spurs with Paris Saint-Germain and Schalke 04 vying for his signature.

However, the latter remain Rose's ideal destination, though Spurs may have to come down from their £50m asking price to sanction his sale this month.

Paris Saint-Germain have been on the search for a new left-sided defender since the departure of Yuri Berchiche and Rose has been highlighted as their prime option after dropping their interest in Alex Sandro.

Sandro, who is presently at Juventus, had been tipped to pursue a fresh challenge earlier in the summer, but it now appears that the Brazilian will stay put with the Italian champions.
