Erik Lamela reacts to Spurs' Champions League defeat
Tottenham Hotspur player Erik Lamela has said that his side are disappointed after losing their opening Champions League game against Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Mauricio Pochettino's men lead the game one nil through Christian Eriksen in the 53rd minute before Inter came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win.
“We were winning and to lose in the last 10 minutes like that is bad for us. Because we came here to win, and in the end we didn’t get the points so we’re very disappointed," he said, football.london reports.
The loss is Spurs' third straight defeat in a row after losing to Watford and Liverpool in their last two Premier League games.
Tottenham are in group B of this year's competition alongside Barcelona, PSV Eindhoven and Inter Milan.
Barcelona won the other group game by four goals to nothing, with Lionel Messi scoring a hat-trick.
Barcelona currently top the group on goals difference, with Tottenham in third. Tottenham will face Brighton when the Premier League returns this weekend.
